Yahaya Bello fully Supports Tinubu, Says Kogi Apc

The Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council has reiterated that Governor Yahaya Bello continues to support Senator Bola Tinubu as the party’s nominee for president.

It called claims that the governor has stopped supporting Tinubu “absolutely incorrect” and “a creation born of hate.”

Kingsley Fanwo, the Kogi APC Campaign Council’s Director of Media and Publicity and Commissioner for Information criticized the report as having been produced in bad faith in a statement yesterday.

The Kogi APC said that the release was malicious and intended to sow discord, discordance, and turmoil inside the party by those who were frantically attempting to discredit the governor’s unwavering dedication to the success of the APC in the presidential election.

Fanwo gave the people the reassurance that devoted APC members at all levels did not have any doubts about Bello’s unwavering dedication to the campaign.

He claimed that GYB was continually working on plans to enlist the support of many Kogites and young people around Nigeria for the candidate he refers to as the president-in-waiting.

This will definitely not go down well with open and veiled detractors of our presidential candidate, who would go to any length to paint a picture of crisis where there is none.

“Aside from winning and sustaining the support of the majority of Nigerian youths for Tinubu, Governor Yahaya Bello has effectively mobilized Kogites to deliver not less than 95 percent Kogi votes to the presidential candidate of our party. It is, therefore, not a surprise that those who want to share in the glory of the impending landslide victory without contributing to the efforts are hiding behind ‘the evils of journalistic anonymity’ to cause disaffection,” he said.

Explaining that Bello has always been the star boy of the party, having delivered on critical assignments in the state and at the national level, Fanwo recalled that the governor recently registered youths, women, and people living with disabilities into the APC.

According to him, the governor is proud of the presidential candidate of his party and has no doubt whatsoever in the capacity of Tinubu to take Nigeria to the desired level.

“It is laughable, ludicrous, and unthinkable to insinuate that the man working so hard to deliver massive votes for the presidential candidate of the party is the one naysayers would accuse of non-commitment.”

Sekibo Reveals Wike's Preferred Presidential Candidate

Abiye Sekibo, the Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State, has disclosed Nyesom Wike’s preferred candidate as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

In response to the Rivers State government refusing to allow the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to hold a rally there, Sekibo revealed this, claiming that Wike had instructed his people to support Tinubu instead.

“We are aware that by credible information reaching us that Governor Wike has directed his loyalists, including all local government Chairmen, special adviser, commissioners, party executives at the state and local government level, and all other appointees to work for the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, even though you have not had the courage to boldly announce same to the people of Rivers State,” the PDP campaign D-G stated.

Remember that the location for the event set for February 11 was authorized by the Rivers state government in January, but that approval was later canceled.

But according to Sekibo, Wike instructed all local government chairmen, his cabinet members, his assistants, and executives to back Tinubu’s bid for the presidency.

The two senior PDP figures fell off after the PDP primaries, with Atiku choosing Ifeanyi Okowa over Wike, as the governor of Rivers State refused to support his presidential nominee.
