Marcel Sabitzer, a midfielder for Manchester United, has joined the list of injured players, raising concerns at Old Trafford.
The player experienced the setback prior to the team’s victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, as the club made this known in an official statement.
“Erik ten Hag revealed that Marcel Sabitzer suffered an injury in the warm-up before Manchester United’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest.
“Antony and Diogo Dalot scored the decisive goals to ensure we took all three points from our trip to the City Ground.

“Sabitzer had been named in our starting line-up to face Steve Cooper’s side, but his withdrawal from the XI due to injury was confirmed just moments before kick-off, with Christian Eriksen called into midfield in his place,” the club wrote.
Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez both had injuries in the middle of the week and now the Austrian is suffering from one as well. Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho are two additional players who are now sidelined with conditions.
Erik, though, is still optimistic that the on-loan midfielder from Bayern Munich will soon be able to compete for the Reds in their critical postseason run-in.
The Reds’ performance in Nottinghamshire was unaffected by the late news of Eriksen’s transfer to the starting lineup, though, and Erik was unsurprised by the manner Eriksen went in at the last minute after impressing off the bench in the prior two games.
According to the coach, Eriksen wouldn’t have had a start if Marcel Sabitzer hadn’t dropped out.
