English Premier League Club, Newcastle United FC has confirmed the signing of English goalkeeper, Nick Pope.
The club made this revelation on its official website, as the shot-stopper is expected to be in the club until 2026.
“Newcastle United are delighted to confirm the signing of England international goalkeeper Nick Pope, who joins the club from Burnley for an undisclosed fee. The club stated.

The manager of the team, Eddie Howe added praised the 30-years-old qualities, as he show his delight in him.
“Nick is an exceptional Premier League and international level goalkeeper so I’m very pleased to be adding strong competition to a very important position. Howe said.
“There has been a lot of interest in him from other clubs this summer, so I’d like to thank our owners and everyone behind the scenes for getting us ahead of the competition. I’m delighted he is joining us as we prepare for the exciting challenge ahead.”
Nick Pope will be the second player signed by the Magpies this season, after earlier signing left-back, Matthew Robert Targett.
What to know about the number 1;
The Soham-born goalkeeper has played eight times for his country, England.
He has also spent the past six seasons at Turf Moor, twice winning Burnley’s player of the year award and helping the Clarets to qualify for Europe in 2017/18.
He was named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year in 2019/20 when he kept 15 clean sheets throughout the campaign and made history last year as the first goalkeeper to keep clean sheets in his first six games for England.

Recall, that on the 7th of October 2021, the Public Investment Fund, PCP Capital Partners, and RB Sports & Media confirmed that they had officially completed the acquisition of Newcastle United.
The Public Investment Fund is the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia.
It is among the largest sovereign wealth funds in the world with total estimated assets of $620 billion (£492 billion).
With the acquisition, Newcastle became the EPL club with the richest owner.
