Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, made the disclosure of this new initiative in a statement seen by Newsrand.


N-power: FG Makes Clarification On New Batch Rumour

N-power has cleared the air on the possibility of introducing a new batch, as it stated that there is nothing like batch D, at least for now.

Quashing viral reports on batch D application, N-power took to its official social media pages and advised members of the public to not believe such information.


N-power Batch C Payment Date Announced

N-power batch C beneficiaries will have their payment every 25th of the month. This is started last month (October 2021).

A few days ago, Newsrand had published how N-Power Batch C non-graduate tech-software beneficiaries can check their training postings.

It is no longer news that the Federal Government has announced the deployment of N-Power Batch C non-graduate tech-software beneficiaries.

However, while some of the beneficiaries have already checked their postings, Unmask NG understands that others were struggling to check theirs.


N-power News: Physical Verification Exercise For Batch C Extended

The latest on N-power news is the extension of the date of the physical verification exercise of its Batch C beneficiaries.

It was gathered that the physical verification exercise was extended from Friday, September 24, 2021, to Thursday, September 30.

“The ongoing physical verification exercise for the N-Power Batch C, Stream 1 has been extended by a period of 1 week.


N-Power News: FG To Commence Training Of Exited Volunteers

N-power news has a development, and it is about the training of beneficiaries of the exited batches A and B.

Disclosing this development, the federal government said out of 500,000 exited volunteers, 390,000 of them have been successfully accommodated in the NEXIT.

Newsrand understands that NEXIT is an exit package for all the beneficiaries of N-Power in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to enable them to benefit from the apex bank’s empowerment options.


NJFP 2021: Are N-power Beneficiaries Eligible?

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) 2021 is the latest empowerment programme by the federal government. It is a follow-up to N-Power, a scheme set up to increase social development in Nigeria.

As reported on Newsrand, just recently President Muhammadu Buhari floated NJFP 2021 for members of the public to apply.

Amongst other things, the NJFP 2021, a 12-month fully paid fellowship programme, was launched in order to address the employment gap by identifying the emerging skills that companies need most.

Kumuyi Bows To Pressure As He Cancels Crusade Over Threat

Pastor William Kumuyi of the Deeper Life Bible Church, has finally cancelled the planned crusade in Aba, Abia State.

Kumuyi was said to have cancelled the crusade over rising insecurity and the threat he got since the crusade was announced.

The crusade was scheduled to hold in Aba from Tuesday, May 24, 2022, to Sunday, May 29, but the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) warned the 80-year-old cleric not to go ahead with it.

Confirming the cancellation, Kumuyi promised to communicate a new venue and date for the crusade to hold.

Also, the Chairman of the crusade’s organising team, Pastor James Akpofure, corroborated the development in a statement.

As there are currently some security challenges at the intended alpha location (Aba, Abia State, Nigeria), the Global Crusade Convener, Pastor (Dr) W.F. Kumuyi commiserates with our people in Abia State and will be praying along for God’s Divine Intervention,” Akpofure said.

In a statement signed, ASUU president, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke said the strike extension became effective from Sunday, May 8, 2022, adding that the union took this decision after its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting which started at the Comrade Festus Iyayi National Secretariat, University of Abuja.
