Davido Mourns His Late Photographer Days After Newsrand's Report

Popular singer David Adeleke otherwise known as Davido has mourned the demise of his photographer Fortune.

In a post shared with his followers on Instagram, the music star expressed surprise about Fortune’s sudden death.

While maintaining that the deceased was irreplaceable in his team, Davido said he’s disappointed that Fortune’s death denied him the opportunity to fulfill the rest of the many promises he made to him.

His statement read: “I can’t believe you’re gone. Since we met u never left my side. for one day… Your page says it all. You really were all about me like nothing else mattered. You went from a complete stranger to one of my closest confidants within weeks.

“There is nowhere I entered that you and your lens didn’t enter. I can’t even believe I’m writing a tribute to you right now wtf we still had so much more to do. Your workshops. Your studios. Trips. Shows. Scenes. Moments. All of it.

“I can’t believe you didn’t give me the chance to fulfill the rest of my promises to you. my heart is so heavy right now and I’m just so grateful I met you. You truly were the best kid. A rare breed and I’m so grateful that we got to travel the world and create so many iconic moments with you. You are irreplaceable and you are gone now but I will make sure you are never forgotten! I swear it! This next one’s for you! RIP lil bro. Love you forever.”

It would be recalled that on Tuesday, September 21, Newsrand exclusively reported that Fortune drowned during a shoot at the waterside end of Freedom Way in Lagos State.

Our correspondent learnt that there was no trace of Fortune’s body after an endless search that lasted for days.

Fortune was, however, the second person to die in Davido’s camp this year.

A talent manager and one of the singer’s aides, Obama DMW passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.

The father of one was said to have driven himself to Ever Care Hospital in the Lekki area of Lagos State to complain of breathing difficulties, after which he was confirmed dead.

Last night (Saturday, August 13, 2022), BBNaija housemate, Groovy stirred a drama between his female peers in the house, Ilebaye, and Chichi, during and after the party.

Newsrand understands that following the disqualification of Beauty, who was Groovy’s love interest, the 26-year-old artist arguably became the most sought-after male housemate in the house as Phyna, Ilebaye, and Chichi, are fighting to replace the former.

As the party was ongoing, Chichi and Ilebaye engaged in a fight as they got jealous of themselves over Groovy on the dance floor.

According to Chichi, Groovy asked her for a dance, and she agreed. While they were dancing, Ilebaye came and pushed her away.

Displeased with this development, Chichi checked out on Groovy and lashed out at Ilebaye.

You’re a man, sometimes you need to be a man, address the issue immediately…..,” Chichi told Groovy.

Following the incident, Groovy and Phyna ended up locking lips together on the bed.
