Barcelona and Celta Vigo will both be playing for something today.

Celta Vigo will be hoping to secure a place at the Europa competition, and anything short of a win will see that hope crushed.

Barcelona has a slim chance of clinching the LaLiga trophy, and if they fail to win today, it would be two seasons in a row without the trophy.

Even a win for Barcelona will not be enough for them, as the club’s glory is tied to Athletico Madrid. If Athletico wins today, then the title chase for Barcelona would be over.

Barcelona has already beaten Celta Vigo this season in the LaLiga, scoring three from away whilst keeping a clean sheet.

The last time Celta Vigo got a win over Barcelona in Camp Nou was on the 1st of November, 2014, with just a single goal in the match from Larrivey.

Present Form:

In the last 5 games, Barcelona was able to secure 8 points from 15 possible points.

Celta Vigo on the other hand is having a good run with four straight wins in the La-Liga competition.

Players To Watch Out For:

Lionel Messi Vs Iago Aspas

Iago Aspas: Joint seventh highest scorer in the league, Aspas is not an amateur in this type of game, he is always a threat whenever he is in the box 18, although his goals have been scanty of recent.

Lionel Messi: LaLiga top scorer, the 6 times Balon d’Or winner is deadly with the ball, can create chances, can score, and he is good with free-kicks.

Newsrand Prediction:

Although the match looks to be a tough one, Newsrand predicts a win for Barcelona.
